Backup, export and restore

Export a backup

Section titled “Export a backup”

Open Settings → Data → Export. The export contains the encrypted workspace and the metadata needed to restore it. Keep the file and the Emergency Kit separately.

Restore on a new device

Section titled “Restore on a new device”

Install HelloHQ, choose Restore, and provide the backup and the Emergency Kit. The master password derives the key on the device.

Delete the local workspace

Section titled “Delete the local workspace”

Deleting a local workspace removes it from this device. If you sync through HelloHQ or a shared workspace, check the other devices and the organization before deleting, and export a backup first.
