Privacy and your data
HelloHQ is local-first and end-to-end encrypted. The server holds account and workspace metadata, not the contents of your portfolio, estate or documents.
What HelloHQ can read
Section titled “What HelloHQ can read”- Your account and organization membership.
- Your plan, billing state and seats.
- Workspace names, members and roles.
- Encrypted sync packets, which it cannot decrypt.
What HelloHQ cannot read
Section titled “What HelloHQ cannot read”- Your portfolio, debts, estate records, documents or notes.
- Your master password, secret key or Emergency Kit.
- Your local AI prompts and results.
Your keys
Section titled “Your keys”The master password derives the database key on your device. The Emergency Kit is the recovery path. HelloHQ support cannot reset the master password or recover a lost kit, because it never holds either.
